Watching over Cape Town, this world-famous landmark is a desirable hiking objective for most visitors to Cape Town and an obvious addition to any itinerary. With many kilometres of hiking trails and interesting scrambling routes, Table Mountain offers a distinctly wild and remote feel, despite its urban location.
Listed below are our most popular ascents, but with over 300 ways of getting up the mountain, this is by no means an exhaustive list of routes on offer… Please feel free to discuss with your consultant should your guests prefer something a little more off the beaten track. Our guides are only too happy to go exploring.
For technical rock-climbing activities in the national park, please contact our office for detail and pricing – we have accredited and experienced rock climbing guides available for bouldering, single pitch sport climbing and multi-pitch traditional climbing at a variety of venues along the Cape Peninsula.
Our most popular trip is a half day morning hike up Table Mountain or Lion’s Head. However, we do not expect our guides to work for a half day guide rate, so we only contract guides for full days.
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR YOUR GUESTS? That means the guide is available to assist your guests with a city tour, shopping or sightseeing around the city and beach front once they have finished the hike. At your request we will add a cafe or picnic lunch to a half day tour. Otherwise, there is no additional cost for the guide’s services for the rest of the day.
