Full day Constantia & Kirstenbosch

The Constantia wine region is the oldest wine region in South Africa with historic wine farms such as Groot Constantia dating back to the late 1600’s. This under-rated wine region is often overlooked in favour of the wine country surrounding Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. We love its proximity to great trails, making it an obvious location for a classic a hike and wine tour.
The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens have become synonymous with any visit to Cape Town – arguably one of the finest indigenous gardens in the world, the 35 hectares of cultivated grounds represent the incredible diversity to be found in the Cape Floral Kingdom. And all of this is framed by a stunning backdrop of mountains and sweeping views of the city. The gardens’ location makes it a perfect companion for hikes on Table Mountain (see the Table Mountain to Kirstenbosch traverse route on our FULL DAY TABLE MOUNTAIN hikes) and the Constantia winelands.
